Innis Maggiore Endowed Scholarship Formed For Kent State Stark Students

Advertising/PR Agency Invests in Future of Northeast Ohio

CANTON, Ohio (July 23, 2007) - Positioning students for future success is the impetus behind the creation of a recent endowed scholarship presented to Kent State University Stark Campus by Innis Maggiore, the nation's leading agency in the practice of positioning.

Innis Maggiore donated $10,000 to create the Innis Maggiore Endowed Scholarship for Communications with earnings to be awarded to full-time students residing in Stark County and majoring in the fields of communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or advertising. To qualify, students must maintain a 2.6 G.P.A. The fund was created to support the economic development of Northeast Ohio and the future of the local advertising/public relations industry.

"Our goal is for Stark County to become the county in Ohio with the largest number of baccalaureate degrees," said Dick Maggiore, president and CEO, Innis Maggiore. "We believe strongly that we have a steady stream of talented kids, and we want to support them with their higher education. We have a vested interest in the success of these students. If they receive their higher education in Stark County, they will be more likely to live and work in Stark County thereby contributing to its economic success."

"It is with great pleasure we accept this endowment from Innis Maggiore," said Pamela Bash, development officer for Kent State University Stark Campus. "It is a wonderful gift for our students when community leaders and organizations affirm the value of education and step forward with demonstrated support."

Innis Maggiore is the nation's leading agency in the practice of positioning, building strong brand positions for companies in competitive markets.
